The first time I wrote a girl... A love letter.

It was in my Js2 and one of the classes, the A class to be exact, was being renovated. So the students that were in the A class were shared between the other classes which were B and C.
At the time we all were still pretty much strangers to each other, especially those who were in other classes, and being kids who were all just going into puberty, we began to notice the opposite sex and niggas pretty much started having girls who they were crushing on... And your boy, David, wasn't an exception. During that period only very few guys were able to walk up to a girl and talk to them about feelings or try to get them to be their girlfriends... Those guys were regarded as the BIG boys, while the rest of us who didn't have that kind of morale simply died with our feelings or just wrote a love letter. You see where this is going, right?

In the A class was a family friend of mine who just transferred into the school that term. So when their class was shared he was put in the C class, and it's important to note that, at that moment I was in the B class, and also for the purpose of this story I will be calling this family friend, Pit ( it's not his real name by the way).
 So, after Pit had been shared to the C class he immediately got love struck by a girl who I'm going to call Princess. Now, Princess was really cute, she was intelligent and super popular among students and teachers... She also had a really tinny voice which a lot of people thought was charming. So basically she was completely out of my nigga's league... But if there is anything romantic movies have taught us it's, "You shouldn't give up on love no matter how hopeless it might seem." and Pit obviously wasn't planning on giving up or backing down.
So, during a night prep as I was busy MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS, Pit walks up to my table and says, "bro, I can't take this anymore" and as he tells me that I'm thinking "maybe it's because Pit doesn't like the school or something", and I'm like "What happened bro? If it's about the rice porridge they served us in the refectory this morning, I swear this is the first time I have ever seen that shit." and Pit is like "No that's not it and I kinda thought the rice porridge was actually good"
" Wait! Are you serious? Anyway, forget that, so what can't you take anymore?" I ended up asking. "It's Princess, I have to tell her how I feel about her" Pit said, in a weirdly passionate way.
"That's awesome bro, go for it, I mean, what's the worse that could possibly happen?" I replied. "Yeah I know, but the thing is, you know that I'm really shy, right?"  Pit replied.
"Yes, I know" I replied, in a suspicious tone. And you wouldn't believe what Pit asked me to do... He asked me to help him write a love letter which he was going to hand over to Princess. At first I was opposed to it but after he lavished me with loads of praises... HA! I just couldn't say No. So with all the wisdom I had about romance at the age of 12, I was able to compose my first love letter for a girl and so I handed it over to Pit.

After he was done re-writing it in his own handwriting because I wasn't going to let him take the letter to her written in my handwriting. All that was left was to hand the letter over to Princess... WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE TELL US TO STOP!!! So we asked a friend of ours who was a bit close to Princess to hand it over to her and so he did... Doom! Doom!! Doom!!!
We watched from afar as Princess opened the envelope, brought out the letter and began reading the contents of the letter. Pit's heart was beating so loudly, I was really scared that he might get a heart attack, and for what felt like years, it seemed like she was finally done reading the letter.
You guys remember when I asked, "What's the worse that could possibly happen?", well, for what happened next, I'm just gonna say, WE NEVER EXPECTED IT.
Princess walked up to the front of the class from her seat with the love letter in her hand, and Pit, seeing where this was going hid beneath a table, sweating profusely, and from the front of the class in her tinny little voice she shouted, "Who is Pit!!!" and the class which was all noisy became surprisingly quiet. At this moment Pit knew he had to come out from hiding, and when he finally did, she rained down insults on him and threw the letter back at him in front of the whole class. My nigga was completely crushed, that sort of humiliation was only seen in movies, I never expected seeing that in real life, talk less of seeing it done to my friend... It was really sad. Funny enough, after the humiliating experience she gave Pit that night, the next day he was reported to the class teacher and when the class teacher didn't take any action, she threatened to report to the principal, that in my opinion was just harsh. And after the end of our js2 Pit who just transferred into our school transferred to a different school, the humiliation was totally out of this world, I don't blame him for switching schools.

Also, before I go, I have always wondered why girls reported guys or publicly humiliated them for sending them love letters and to be sincere I still don't get it till this day.
